Building Our Community
The Jacksonville Farmers Market has become a favorite Sunday event for city regulars and a growing number of visitors from the Rogue Valley. Each market bubbles with laughter, hugs, aromas, kids, pets, music, yummy foods, awe and heartfelt smiles. It’s genuine Oregon friendly with a dollop of significant American history on the grounds of the historic Jacksonville Court House. Enjoy!
Made With Local Love
Over half of the 70-plus vendors at the market are a variety of local crafters. The market works hard to find and support them. They offer a wonderful variety of items: many creative types of jewelry, metal art, photography, quilts, knitting, tie dye, woodworking, custom clothing, pottery, paintings, plus much more. The craft vendors also present at the other local markets. They are dedicated and talented. This website provides helpful information on all of them along with links to their websites and Facebook pages.
Visit On Your Trip
It’s not surprising that a good number of the market visitors are out-of-town folks looking to experience a quality, local event. They’ve made a smart decision. In addition to getting delicious pastries and lip-smacking good coffee, they can peruse a wide variety of crafts. Many of the crafts are perfect for take-home gifts to represent the spirit and creativity of Southern Oregon. Be sure to visit all the booths along with listening to the music and tasting the many foods on the lawn and under the trees of the historic Jacksonville Court House.
I’ve been vending in the Rogue Valley for a number of years. The Jacksonville Farmers Market stands out. It’s an amazing combination of the spirit and quality of the vendors, the unique nature of the sounds, smells and feel of the grounds, and the buzz you get from the people. I love it!Susan F.
We’ve lived in Medford for over ten years. We feel lucky to have local markets all around – Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, Talent. But we always make sure to visit the Jacksonville market on a regular basis. We love starting our Sunday with yummy tastes and strong coffee, chatting with neighbors, having the kids run around, walking Ruby our Border Collie, picking up fresh produce and checking out our favorite crafts folks. Wouldn’t miss it!Bill & Laura W.
We’re from Eden Prairie, MN. – a western suburb of Minneapolis. Our daughter lives in Southern Oregon so we like to come visit. We’re big market goers so we frequent many of the ones in the Twin Cities. However, this Jacksonville one is special. Yes, it’s unique with the historic courthouse and the grass and the trees. But it also has a very enjoyable sense. The people, the sights, the activity, the smells, the sounds. Plus it’s always fun to bring home some lovely gifts. The photography choices are spectacular.Brenda and Phillip B.
